Wave Motion & Colour - another great evening

Yesterday evening as the sun finally made a very welcome appearance and the tide height was more favourable than recently, I decided that I would try to capture the wave motion as the small incoming waves wash ashore and then ebb back and was hoping that I could also get the setting sun to highlight the white water on the leading edges of those waves.
The tide was sufficiently far in to preclude me from venturing further South on the beach to take actual sunset photos, as the required angle was not achievable.
So, armed with my tripod and my reverse grad ND filter, I set up looking along the beach at the incoming waves. The sun was indeed catching the leading edges of the waves, something I had the idea of capturing a few weeks ago but was foiled by the clouds.

After taking a few more here, I moved slightly left and took a few in the opposite direction.

Taking this photo, I was actually looking through one of the wooden groynes on the beach and my next composition was looking out to sea and including said groyne as a lead-in line for the photo.

Next I looked straight out to sea at the incoming waves, catching them as they broke.

By now, there was some colour in the sky as the setting sun lit up some cloud to my right so I looked West along the beach. The colours improved as time passed.

and that was it - a great evening, dodging waves as they washed ashore (though soaked feet and shoes showed that I failed to dodge them all), catching the light where possible and ,many really pleasing photos.
