East Wittering Waves

During a day out, on an incredibly beautiful February day, we visited the beach at East Wittering ( on Southern edge of Chichester Harbour ). We had not actually stopped there previously for any length of time, but on this day there were plenty of waves rolling around high tide and the sun was pleasantly warm - it really was a case of 'pinch yourself' to remember that it was still February.
The sight of the waves rolling and then breaking on shore, was enough to tempt me to get the big lens out with the camera and shoot those waves.

I particularly liked the photo above as it has 3 waves - 1st has broken on shore, 2nd is rolling over and 3rdis still building.
It was a little tricky trying to keep surfers out of my photos, but over the course of about one and a half hours I shot quite a few pics and captured some great wave shapes.
The advantage of my 100-400mm zoom lens, is that I can zoom in or out easily to frame the composition how I feel suits as I watch the waves rolling in.
