Wave Motion & Clouds

Similar to the position the other week, sunset was due too close to high tide for me to attempt to capture the actual sunset.

However, venturing out onto the beach ahead of sunset time allowed me the chance to concentrate on the wave motion as the waves created by a keen breeze washed ashore. It was also possible to get some sunlight on the white water on the leading edges of the waves and some colour in the clouds as sunset time got closer.

Living down here in Littlehampton has seen an increase in my creativity, as I now venture out with the plan of making the most of whatever nature provides me with as a subject.

Turning the camera at an angle to the sea, allowed me to capture the motion of the waves as they ebb and flow.

As the sun sank a little lower behind me, a little colour appeared in the cloud.

Then a few darker clouds came into view to my right - looking West along the beach.

The colours gradually increased and I continued to shoot the wave motion and, Yes I did get wet feet. The waves continued to wash ashore, some further than others, and I needed to have the tripod at the edge of their wash path.
