Sunset Reflections

After a break in the conditions and tides coinciding, yesterday evening conditions looked favourable so I ventured out to East Beach. As we have seen previously, low tide leaves wet sand and shallow stretches of water that reflect the colours and formations of the clouds at sunset.
During the Summer months, the actual sunset is inland rather than over the sea, so it requires low tide to be able to get south far enough to get the angle to include the setting sun.
The ripples in the sand catch the light and provide additional foreground interest and detail.

I moved around as I sought the best viewpoint and foreground, while the colours in the sky and reflections changed as the sun set lower.

The colours in the clouds and the reflection didn't last for very long and I knew from the back of the camera that I had captured those and I was really happy with the sand ripples providing such wonderful natural lead-in lines.

As the colours faded and the sun dipped lower, I was left with the darker cloud and reflections.
