I had been waiting for the right opportunity for capturing sunrise at mid-tide, here in Littlehampton, as I had an idea about where to take the photos from and wanted to see if my idea would work.

After taking sunrise photos looking East along the shore, I decided to try the view looking South from the wooden platform at the end of the small pier that separates the sea from the River Arun as it provides the river entrance to lead to the marina in town. The lighting and the movement in the water created a very pleasing image (below), as I also chose to keep the zoom on wide enough setting to include the wooden platform to lead the eye into the photo.
