Finally, A Sunrise

After a quite a long gap, mainly due to weather, tide and work not suitably combining - I have finally been out on the beach for a sunrise. I chose to venture towards Rustington , along the seafront heading East from home.
As the sunrise was due just ahead of low tide, there was plenty of wet sand to reflect the pre-sunrise colours and several patches of interesting sand patterns left by that receding tide.
Out on the beach, it was a little breezy and very cold but I could see those pre-sunrise colours starting to appear as I approached my chosen spot along the promenade and wandered onto the beach.
I chose to view the pre-sunrise colours through one of the groynes as my first composition.

Then I went further down the beach, aiming to capture the colours reflected in wet sand and some of the sand patterns.

Soon the sun started to appear on the horizon, over the sea, initially appearing as a red ball . The sunlight quickly lit the tops of the small breaking waves and the ripples in the foreground.

By now the sun was quite bright and too much for the photo even with an ND filter.
Time for a happy me to retire to home for a cooked breakfast.
