Beautiful Broadstairs

Continuing our wish to visit some new (to us) places, we headed to Broadstairs on Sunday. This turned out to be a lovely area and one to which we will return. Seven bays extend from Broadstairs, north towards Margate on the North East Kent coastline. We parked at Joss Bay and walked north along the beach - possible on receding tide from about midway through the tide cycle. The pic above is of the arch in the chalk cliffs at Kingsgate Bay, while one below is a close up of the same once we had walked nearer.

Heading further north, we came to Botany Bay. This Bay has two large chalk stacks that have become cut off from the rest of the cliff, while I chose to head to the shallow rock pools that the tide leaves as it recedes. Here I captured the two shots below showing various seaweed in the shallow water - I was trying to be artistic.
